Bill Martin never set out to create a collection. He simply kept what still had a use, what might one day be needed, and what felt worth holding onto a little longer. Decades later, those quiet decisions have become an unintended archive—not only of British motoring, but of changing lives, forgotten ambitions and the subtle ways time reshapes everything it touches.

There is a tendency to see places like this as endings, yet they speak more of continuation than loss. Every object here has outlived its original purpose and quietly become something else. Through Bill's eyes, these forgotten machines invite us to reflect on attachment, change and the curious beauty found when we allow things to become exactly what they are, rather than what we hoped they would remain.
